Fairway Dethatcher

What it does
The custom fairway dethatcher (patent pending) removes thatch, snow mould,
and aerates all in one quick and easy step.
How it works
The Dethatcher has 48 spring tooth tines. The tines sit at a 90°
angle at rest, and span 118" in width.
The tines vibrate, kicking the thatch forward and out of the soil. This
piece of equipment has 3 adjustable 10 lbs. weights that can be placed
forward or backwards to set the pitch of the tines. The wheels are manufactured
for high quality boat trailers and also have grease packed bearings.
The unit separates into 3 pieces for easy storage
(The hitch and 2 sections of tines.)
When to dethatch
The best time to dethatch your fairways is in the spring,
removing thatch and snow mold while giving your grass a chance to grow strong and healthy.
Dethatching can also be done during summer months as needed, working
similar to a groomer lifting the grass before the next cut.
In the fall, the dethatcher is used to thin the grass preventing pests and
disease from finding a fertile breeding ground
Benefits
The fairway dethatcher is easy to operate and virtually
maintenance free. Can work at the same time as a fairway mower.
By manufacturing a hitch for your fairway mower, you can pull your dethatcher
while you cut your fairways. Thus doubling your efficiency saving you
time, money, manpower, and does not interfere with course activities.
There is virtually no additional cost to operating this piece of equipment.
Results
Your fairways will be "picture-perfect", less prone to disease
and a pleasure to play on.
